Historical Activities/ Scholarships – Each year our membership is encouraged to donate specifically to the Greenville Town Committee Special Fund when the dues notices are received. This fund is used to support projects, special activities, and scholarships undertaken by the Greenville Town Committee.
Historical Properties – Each year members of our town committee are encouraged to support all National and State properties belonging to the NSCDA and the NSCDA-SC. These include Sulgrave Manor, Gunston Hall, Dumbarton House, (all National Properties), and The Powder Magazine (our State Property). There is a Standing Committee Chairman for each property in the Greenville Town Committee who keeps membership informed about the specific properties.
New Projects – With increased participation in our Special Fund, the Greenville Town Committee will continue to explore new projects in the future, under the guidance of the Historical Activities and Patriotic Service Committees on a local and state level.
Patriotic Service
Operation Blessing – The Patriotic Service Committee works with many schools in Greenville County to collect letters from the students to be sent to our soldiers. These soldiers include those at home, overseas and recuperating in hospitals.
Veterans Support – Our committee sent Valentines to Veterans homes throughout the state. We have collected supplies needed by the veterans and delivered to the Veteran Home in Greenville. We have also contributed monetarily to Rupert Huse Veteran Center.
Wreaths Across America – We participated in this special remembrance in December 2022 and plan to make that a project in 2023.
